Police say CEO ran away, tried to hide evidence after boy’s hyperbaric chamber death

Thomas Cooper was 5 years old when he died Jan. 31 in a fire inside a hyperbaric chamber at the Oxford Center in Troy.

The CEO of the Oxford Center, Tamela Peterson, along with four others are charged in Thomas Cooper’s death.

Troy police said Tamela Peterson and three others charged showed “a clear history of dishonesty, interference with investigations, predatory behavior towards vulnerable individuals.”
